Certification Policy Name - uniquely connected with the international number of the CPOID Policy (Certification Policy Object Identifier).

 

CPOID

Certification Policy Object Identifier - a unique international number, which invariably determines the policy of operation.

 

CRL

Certification Revocation List (cf. Register of revoked certificates).

Digital certificate

Certificate in electronic form, which links dat a from a certificate with the private key of a certain person and verifies its identity.

 

DN

Unique Distinguished Name (cf. definition of Distinguished Name ).

 

Aerial number

A unique 13-digit number, which is issued to the certificate by SIGEN-CA or SIGOV-CA. The first 8 digits of the number are the unique number of the user, the 9th and 10th digit determine the type of certificate, digit 11 and 12 represent the serial number of the certificate, and the last digit represents control of the record according to module 11.

 

Certificate holder

A certificate holder is a person, who is indicated in the certificate and who freely uses his/her private key.

 

Infrastructure of the SI-TRUST

The infrastructure of the Trust Service Authority SI-TRUST consists of all the Certification Authority's premises, its hardware and software, and security mechanisms, which are necessary for secure operations.

 

Public Directory of Certificates

A public directory at SI-TRUST according to standard X.500, where certificates are stored according to standard X.509 version 3.

 

LDAP

Lightweight Directory Access Protocol is a protocol, which determines access to the directory and is specified according to IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) recommendation RFC 1777.

 

Enterprise certificate

The Enterprise Certificate is a certificate in electronic form, which links data from a certificate with the holder's private keys and verifies the holder's identity.

 

Certification Authority

Natural or legal person, who issues certificates or performs other services in connection with certification or electronic signatures.

 

Registration Authority

Agency or person, responsible for accepting applications in verifying the identity of future holders.

 

Distinguished name

A unique name (cf. Definition of DN) in a certificate, which unambiguously and uniquely defines the holder in the structure of the Public Directory.

 

Certificate Revocation List

The Certification Revocation List is updated once a day or after the revocation of a certificate.

 

Web certificate

The Web Certificate is a certificate in electronic form, which links data from a certificate with the holder's private key and verifies the holder's identity.

 

SIGEN-CA

Slovenian General Certification Authority - issuer of certificates for legal and natural persons (SI - Slovenian, GEN - General, CA - Certification Authority) (cf. Certification Authority).

 

SIGOV-CA

Slovenian Governmental Certification Authority - issuer of certificates for institutions of public administration ( SI - Slovenian, GOV - Government, CA - Certification Authority) (cf. Certification Authority).

 

SI-TSA

Slovenian Governmental Certification Authority - issuer of trusted time stamps for institutions of public administration ( SI - Slovenian, T - Time, S - Stamp, A - Authority).

 

SI-PASS-CA

Slovenian Certification Authority SI-PASS-CA - issuer of digital certificates for e-signature.
